Related Product Information for anti-ITIH5 antibody
This gene encodes a heavy chain component of one of the inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor (ITI) family members. ITI proteins are involved in extracellular matrix stabilization and in the prevention of tumor metastasis. They are also structurally related plasma serine protease inhibitors and are composed of a light chain and varying numbers of heavy chains. This family member is thought to function as a tumor suppressor in breast and thyroid cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Uniprot Description

Function: May act as a tumor suppressor.

Subcellular location: Secreted

By similarity.

Tissue specificity: Abundantly expressed in placenta. Less abundant expression in mammary gland and ovary. Expression is barely detectable levels in all other tissues tested. Ref.1

Induction: Down-regulated in breast tumors. Ref.1

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the ITIH family.Contains 1 VIT domain.Contains 1 VWFA domain.

Caution: Conflict in position 933 in the human genome assembly due to a frameshift.

Sequence caution: The sequence CAI12953.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at position 933. The sequence CAI12955.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at position 933. Product Notes

The ITIH5 itih5 (Catalog #AAA649115) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ITIH5, CT (ITIH5, KIAA1953, Inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H5) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ITIH5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ITIH5 itih5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ITIH5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
