Related Product Information for anti-IPO9 antibody
Functions in nuclear protein import as nuclear transport receptor. Serves as receptor for nuclear localization signals (NLS) in cargo substrates. Is thought to mediate docking of the importin/substrate complex to the nuclear pore complex (NPC) through binding to nucleoporin and the complex is subsequently translocated through the pore by an energy requiring, Ran-dependent mechanism. At the nucleoplasmic side of the NPC, Ran binds to the importin, the importin/substrate complex dissociates and importin is re-exported from the nucleus to the cytoplasm where GTP hydrolysis releases Ran. The directionality of nuclear import is thought to be conferred by an asymmetric distribution of the GTP-and GDP-bound forms of Ran between the cytoplasm and nucleus (By similarity). Mediates the nuclear import of H2B histone (By similarity), RPS7 and RPL18A. Prevents the cytoplasmic aggregation of RPS7 and RPL18A by shielding exposed basic domains. May also import H2A, H3, H4 histones (By similarity), RPL4 and RPL6.

Uniprot Description

IPO9: Functions in nuclear protein import as nuclear transport receptor. Serves as receptor for nuclear localization signals (NLS) in cargo substrates. Is thought to mediate docking of the importin/substrate complex to the nuclear pore complex (NPC) through binding to nucleoporin and the complex is subsequently translocated through the pore by an energy requiring, Ran- dependent mechanism. At the nucleoplasmic side of the NPC, Ran binds to the importin, the importin/substrate complex dissociates and importin is re-exported from the nucleus to the cytoplasm where GTP hydrolysis releases Ran. May also import H2A, H3, H4 histones, RPL4 and RPL6. Belongs to the importin beta family.

Product Notes

The IPO9 ipo9 (Catalog #AAA6310735) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IPO9, NT (IPO9, IMP9, KIAA1192, RANBP9, Importin-9, Ran-binding protein 9) (MaxLight 490) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IPO9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-100 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IPO9 ipo9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IPO9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
