Application Notes
IHC: This antibody stained colchicine injected rat brain (including the caudate putamen) tissue. The primary antibody was incubated at 0.25ug/ml overnight at 4 degree C. This was followed by a peroxidase conjugated secondary antibody and then a fluorescein Tyramide Signal Amplification reagent.
ELISA: To detect Rat IP-10 by sandwich ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2ug/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with Biotinylated Anti-Rat IP-10 as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant Rat IP-10.
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition of the biological activity of Rat IP-10 (100ng/ml), a concentration of 5-10ug/ml of this antibody is required.
WB: To detect Rat IP-10 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Rat IP-10 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Preparation and Storage
Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
