Related Product Information for anti-IL-15 antibody
Rabbit anti Mouse interleukin-15 antibody, recognizes interleukin-15 (IL-15), a four alpha helix member of the cytokine family of proteins. IL-15 elicits its biological function through a receptor complex composed of IL-2/IL-15 receptor beta. Upon binding of IL-15 to its receptor, the JAK, STAT, PI3K or MAPK signaling pathways can be activated (Robinson & Schluns 2017). This can result in the stimulation of T cell proliferation, generation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, stimulation of immunoglobulin synthesis by B cells and the generation and persistence of natural killer cells (Steel et al. 2012).

Uniprot Description

IL15: Cytokine that stimulates the proliferation of T- lymphocytes. Stimulation by IL-15 requires interaction of IL-15 with components of IL-2R, including IL-2R beta and probably IL-2R gamma but not IL-2R alpha. Belongs to the IL-15/IL-21 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Cytokine; Cell cycle regulation; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; extracellular space; cell surface; cytoplasm; extracellular region

Molecular Function: hematopoietin/interferon-class (D200-domain) cytokine receptor binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of interleukin-17 production; positive regulation of natural killer cell proliferation; positive regulation of immune response; NK T cell proliferation; negative regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation; cell maturation; signal transduction; lymph node development; positive regulation of tyrosine phosphorylation of Stat3 protein; positive regulation of natural killer cell differentiation; extrathymic T cell selection; natural killer cell differentiation; positive regulation of cell proliferation; immune response; regulation of T cell differentiation; positive regulation of T cell proliferation; regulation of defense response to virus by host; hyaluronan metabolic process

Product Notes

The IL-15 il15 (Catalog #AAA226165) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Mouse Interleukin-15:Preservative Free reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Interleukin-15 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 0.5ug/ml to 2.0ug/ml WB: 0.1ug/ml to 0.2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL-15 il15 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin-15, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
