Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse HUR Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HUR antibody
HUR (ELAVL1, ELAV (Embryonic Lethal, Abnormal Vision, Drosophila)-like 1 (Hu Antigen R), ELAV1, ELAV-like Protein 1, Hua, Hu-antigen R, HuR, MelG) (Biotin)
IHC: Reported to detect HuR in rabbit placental tissue.
IP: 10ug immunoprecipitated HuR in 3T3/A31 RIPA lysates.
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
WB: 1ug/ml. Detected HuR in RIPA lysates from 3T3/A31 cells. 3T3 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with.
Testing Data
(3T3/A31 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with H7953-34. Proteins were visualized using IgG (HRP) goat anti-rabbit and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates HuR (~36kD).)
Testing Data
(Confocal IF analysis of HeLa, NIH/3T3 using H7953-34 (Red). Actin filaments have been labeled with AlexaFluor 488-Phalloidin (Green). Nucleus is stained with DAPI (Blue).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
HuR: Involved in 3'-UTR ARE-mediated MYC stabilization. Binds avidly to the AU-rich element in FOS and IL3/interleukin-3 mRNAs. In the case of the FOS AU-rich element, HUR binds to a core element of 27 nucleotides that contain AUUUA, AUUUUA and AUUUUUA motifs. Binds preferentially to the 5'-UUUU[AG]UUU-3' motif in vitro. Identified in a mRNP complex, at least composed of DHX9, DDX3X, ELAVL1, HNRNPU, IGF2BP1, ILF3, PABPC1, PCBP2, PTBP2, STAU1, STAU2, SYNCRIP and YBX1. Interacts with ANP32A, EIF2C1 and EIF2C2. Ubiquitous. Belongs to the RRM elav family.
Protein type: RNA-binding
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.2
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; membrane; cytoplasm; cytosol; nucleus
Molecular Function: mRNA binding; protein binding; mRNA 3'-UTR binding; RNA binding; double-stranded RNA binding; nucleotide binding; AU-rich element binding; protein kinase binding
Biological Process: positive regulation of translation; multicellular organismal development; mRNA stabilization; gene expression

Product Notes
The HUR elavl1 (Catalog #AAA6481257) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HUR (ELAVL1, ELAV (Embryonic Lethal, Abnormal Vision, Drosophila)-like 1 (Hu Antigen R), ELAV1, ELAV-like Protein 1, Hua, Hu-antigen R, HuR, MelG) (Biotin) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HUR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). ICC: 1:500. Detects HuR in HeLa and NIH/3T3 cell lysates. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HUR elavl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HUR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
