Biological Significance
5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin) 1E receptor (5-HT1E) is a highly expressed human G-protein coupled receptor that belongs to the 5-HT1 receptor family (Gi-coupled serotonin receptor). The human gene is denoted as HTR1E. It is hypothesized that the 5-HT1E receptor is involved in the regulation of memory in humans due to the high abundance of receptors in the frontal cortex, hippocampus, and olfactory bulb, all of which are regions of the brain integral to memory regulation.
Biohazard Information
This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling.
Immunogen
HTR1E antibody was raised in rabbit using a synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -70 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Uniprot Description

5-HT(1E): This is one of the several different receptors for 5- hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that inhibit adenylate cyclase activity. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Product Notes

The HTR1E htr1e (Catalog #AAA535468) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HTR1E antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HTR1E can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. IHC-P: 16-24 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HTR1E htr1e for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HTR1E, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
