Related Product Information for anti-HOMER2 antibody
Postsynaptic density scaffolding protein. Binds and cross-links cytoplasmic regions of GRM1, GRM5, ITPR1, DNM3, RYR1, RYR2, SHANK1 and SHANK3. By physically linking GRM1 and GRM5 with ER-associated ITPR1 receptors, it aids the coupling of surface receptors to intracellular calcium release. May also couple GRM1 to PI3 kinase through its interaction with AGAP2. Isoforms can be differently regulated and may play an important role in maintaining the plasticity at glutamatergic synapses.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the homer family of dendritic proteins. Members of this family regulate group 1 metabotrophic glutamate receptor function. The encoded protein is a postsynaptic density scaffolding protein. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Two related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosome 14. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]

Uniprot Description

HOMER2: Postsynaptic density scaffolding protein. Belongs to the Homer family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The HOMER2 homer2 (Catalog #AAA1499014) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HOMER2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HOMER2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Recommended dilution: IHC:1:20-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HOMER2 homer2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HOMER2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
