Related Product Information for anti-HNMT antibody
In mammals, histamine is metabolized by two major pathways: N(tau)-methylation via histamine N-methyltransferase and oxidative deamination via diamine oxidase. This gene encodes the first enzyme which is found in the cytosol and uses S-adenosyl-L-methionine as the methyl donor. In the mammalian brain, the neurotransmitter activity of histamine is controlled by N(tau)-methylation as diamine oxidase is not found in the central nervous system. A common genetic polymorphism affects the activity levels of this gene product in red blood cells. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different proteins have been found for this gene.

Product Notes

The HNMT hnmt (Catalog #AAA9402690) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HNMT Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HNMT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Western blotting: 1:500 - 1:2000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 - 1:200 Immunofluorescence: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HNMT hnmt for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HNMT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
