Related Product Information for anti-HLA-DMA antibody
HLA-DMA belongs to the HLA class II alpha chain paralogues. This class II molecule is a heterodimer consisting of an alpha (DMA) and a beta chain (DMB), both anchored in the membrane. It is located in intracellular vesicles. DM plays a central role in the peptide loading of MHC class II molecules by helping to release the CLIP molecule from the peptide binding site. Class II molecules are expressed in antigen presenting cells (APC: B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages). The alpha chain is approximately 33-35 kDa and its gene contains 5 exons. Exon one encodes the leader peptide, exons 2 and 3 encode the two extracellular domains, exon 4 encodes the transmembrane domain and the cytoplasmic tail. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

HLA-DMA: Plays a critical role in catalyzing the release of class II-associated invariant chain peptide (CLIP) from newly synthesized MHC class II molecules and freeing the peptide binding site for acquisition of antigenic peptides. In B-cells, the interaction between HLA-DM and MHC class II molecules is regulated by HLA-DO. Belongs to the MHC class II family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Chaperone

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p21.3

Cellular Component: multivesicular body; cell surface; membrane; late endosome membrane; lysosomal membrane; integral to membrane; MHC class II protein complex

Biological Process: protein transport; positive regulation of immune response; positive regulation of T cell differentiation; chaperone cofactor-dependent protein folding; peptide antigen assembly with MHC class II protein complex; antigen processing and presentation of exogenous peptide antigen via MHC class II; immunoglobulin mediated immune response; inner ear development; positive thymic T cell selection

Product Notes

The HLA-DMA hla-dma (Catalog #AAA9402705) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HLA-DMA antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HLA-DMA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:500-1:3000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:250. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HLA-DMA hla-dma for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HLA-DMA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
