Rabbit anti-Human Hexokinase 3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-HXK3 antibody
Hexokinase 3, CT (Hexokinase-3, HK3, HXK3, Hexokinase Type III, HK III, HKIII) (AP)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Western Blot (WB)
(HK3 Antibody (R775) western blot analysis in mouse brain tissue lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the HK3 antibody detected the HK3 protein (arrow).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, the first step in most glucose metabolism pathways. This gene encodes hexokinase 3. Similar to hexokinases 1 and 2, this allosteric enzyme is inhibited by its product glucose-6-phosphate. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]
Uniprot Description
HK3: a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reaction ATP + D-hexose = ADP + D-hexose 6-phosphate. The first and rate-limiting step in glycosis, a pathway that produces energy in the form of ATP from glucose. An allosteric enzyme inhibited by its product glucose-6-phosphate (Glc-6-P). Acts as a ""glucose sensor"" by trapping glucose inside the cell by catalyzing its phosphorylation to produce Glc-6-P. In vertebrates there are four major glucose-phosphorylating isoenzymes, designated hexokinase I, II, III and IV (glucokinase).

Product Notes
The HXK3 hk3 (Catalog #AAA6480217) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Hexokinase 3, CT (Hexokinase-3, HK3, HXK3, Hexokinase Type III, HK III, HKIII) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Hexokinase 3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HXK3 hk3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Hexokinase 3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
