Related Product Information for anti-HAUSP antibody
Ubiquitin-specific protease 7 (USP7) as a cysteine protease removes ubiquitin from conjugates and has been shown to regulate the levels of tumor suppressor protein p53 by deubiquitinating MDM2 (a ubiquitin ligase). USP7 is also known as herpes virus-associated ubiquitin-specific protease (HAUSP) because it associates with Herpes simplex virus type I immediate-early protein Vmw110.

Uniprot Description

USP7: an enzyme that removes ubiquitin from its protein substrates. Binds to the herpes virus protein VMW110 that may therefore modulate its substrate specificity or activity to stabilize viral proteins. Regulates MDM2 and has a dynamic role in the p53-MDM2 pathway. Is reported to deubiquitinate and stabilize p53.

Protein type: EC 3.4.19.12; Ubiquitin-specific protease; Ubiquitin conjugating system; Protease

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3

Cellular Component: nuclear body; PML body; nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein C-terminus binding; protein binding; p53 binding; ubiquitin protein ligase binding; cysteine-type endopeptidase activity; ubiquitin-specific protease activity; transcription factor binding

Biological Process: proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; protein deubiquitination; viral reproduction; regulation of transcription factor activity; maintenance of DNA methylation; inhibition of NF-kappaB transcription factor; transcription-coupled nucleotide-excision repair; multicellular organismal development; histone deubiquitination

Product Notes

The HAUSP usp7 (Catalog #AAA243015) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human HAUSP / USP7 reacts with Chimpanzee, Chicken, Dog, Horse, Human, Macaque, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HAUSP / USP7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB). IHC-P (10 ug/ml), WB (1 - 2 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HAUSP usp7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HAUSP / USP7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
