Related Product Information for anti-H2BFWT antibody
Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible
for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in
eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A,
H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp
of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The
linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes
and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order
structures. This gene encodes a member of the H2B histone family
that is specifically expressed in sperm nuclei. A polymorphism in
the 5' UTR of this gene is associated with male infertility.

NCBI Description

Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. A polymorphism in the 5' UTR of this gene is associated with male infertility.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]

Uniprot Description

H2BFWT: Atypical histone H2B. Nucleosomes containing it are structurally and dynamically indistinguishable from those containing conventional H2B. However, unlike conventional H2B, does not recruit chromosome condensation factors and does not participate in the assembly of mitotic chromosomes. May be important for telomere function. Belongs to the histone H2B family.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq22.2

Cellular Component: nuclear membrane; nucleosome

Molecular Function: DNA binding; protein heterodimerization activity

Product Notes

The H2BFWT h2bfwt (Catalog #AAA9209591) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 62-88. The H2BFWT Antibody (Center) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's H2BFWT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the H2BFWT h2bfwt for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "H2BFWT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
