Uniprot Description

Catalytic activity: GTP = 3',5'-cyclic GMP + diphosphate.

Cofactor: Binds 1 or 2 heme groups per heterodimer.

Enzyme regulation: Activated by nitric oxide in the presence of magnesium or manganese ions, binding of NO to the heme iron increases catalytic activity up to 400 folds.

Subunit structure: Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta chain.

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm.

Tissue specificity: Lung and brain.

Miscellaneous: There are two types of guanylate cyclases: soluble forms and membrane-associated receptor forms.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase family.Contains 1 guanylate cyclase domain.

Product Notes

The GUCY1B3 gucy1b1 (Catalog #AAA610963) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Guanylyl Cyclase, beta1, Soluble (sGCb1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Guanylyl Cyclase, beta1, Soluble can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: 1:100 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2500. Not recommended for immunohistochemistry or functional applications (e.g. inhibition of soluble guanylyl cyclase). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GUCY1B3 gucy1b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Guanylyl Cyclase, beta1, Soluble, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
