Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse GRK1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-GRK1 antibody
GRK1, CT (G-Protein-coupled Receptor Kinase 1, GPRK1, Rhodopsin Kinase, RHOK, RK) (Azide free) (HRP)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(The anti-GRK1 Pab is used in Western blot to detect GRK1 in HeLa cell lysate (Lane 1) and mouse spleen tissue lysate (Lane 2).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with GRK1 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G protein)-coupled receptor kinase subfamily of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. The protein phosphorylates rhodopsin and initiates its deactivation. Defects in GRK1 are known to cause Oguchi disease 2 (also known as stationary night blindness Oguchi type-2). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
GRK1: a Ser/Thr of the GRK family. Phosphorylates and inactivates photon-activated rhodopsin. LOF mutations lead to type 2 Oguchi disease, a form of night blindness. A link between RHOK and retinitis pigmentosa is now thought to be unlikely
Protein type: Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, AGC; EC 2.7.11.14; AGC group; GRK family; GRK subfamily
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q34
Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor kinase activity; rhodopsin kinase activity; ATP binding; protein kinase activity
Biological Process: rhodopsin mediated signaling; post-embryonic retina morphogenesis in camera-type eye; phototransduction, visible light; regulation of rhodopsin mediated signaling; visual perception; protein amino acid autophosphorylation; photoreceptor cell morphogenesis; regulation of G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; positive regulation of phosphorylation; negative regulation of apoptosis
Disease: Oguchi Disease 2

Product Notes
The GRK1 grk1 (Catalog #AAA6478994) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GRK1, CT (G-Protein-coupled Receptor Kinase 1, GPRK1, Rhodopsin Kinase, RHOK, RK) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GRK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GRK1 grk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRK1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
