Related Product Information for anti-GPRASP1 antibody
The G protein-coupled receptor associated sorting protein 1 (GPRASP1) is a member of the GPRASP family and is thought to modulate lysosomal sorting and functional down-regulation of a variety of G-protein coupled receptors (1,2). GPRASP1 interacts with receptors such as the D2 dopamine receptor (DRD2), delta opioid receptor (OPRD1), beta-2 adrenergic receptor (ADRB2), D4 dopamine receptor (DRD4) and cannabinoid 1 receptor (CNR1) and targets these proteins for degradation in lysosomes (2). Recently, it has been shown that increased GPRASP1 levels may act as a potential biomarker for breast cancer (3).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the GPRASP (G protein-coupled receptor associated sorting protein) family. The protein may modulate lysosomal sorting and functional down-regulation of a variety of G-protein coupled receptors. It targets receptors for degradation in lysosomes. The receptors interacting with this sorting protein include D2 dopamine receptor (DRD2), delta opioid receptor (OPRD1), beta-2 adrenergic receptor (ADRB2), D4 dopamine receptor (DRD4) and cannabinoid 1 receptor (CB1R). Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

GPRASP1: May modulate lysosomal sorting and functional down- regulation of a variety of G-protein coupled receptors. Targets receptors for degradation in lysosomes. Belongs to the GPRASP family.

Protein type: Vesicle

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq22.1

Product Notes

The GPRASP1 gprasp1 (Catalog #AAA153455) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GPRASP1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPRASP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). GPRASP1 antibody can be used for detection of GPRASP1 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/ml. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 5 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPRASP1 gprasp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPRASP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
