Immunofluorescence (IF)

(Immunofluorescent analysis of GPR73a staining in Jurkat cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor family. The encoded protein binds to prokineticins (1 and 2), leading to the activation of MAPK and STAT signaling pathways. Prokineticins are protein ligands involved in angiogenesis and inflammation. The encoded protein is expressed in peripheral tissues such as those comprising the circulatory system, lungs, reproductive system, endocrine system and the gastrointestinal system. The protein may be involved in signaling in human fetal ovary during initiation of primordial follicle formation. Sequence variants in this gene may be associated with recurrent miscarriage. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for prokineticin 1. Exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins. Activation leads to mobilization of calcium, stimulation of phosphoinositide turnover and activation of p44/p42 mitogen-activated protein kinase. May play a role during early pregnancy.

Product Notes

The GPR73a prokr1 (Catalog #AAA9430909) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GPR73a Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GPR73a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IF: 1:100-1:300. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPR73a prokr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GPR73a, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
