Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(GNAO1 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometry analysis of K562 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit of the Go heterotrimeric G-protein signal-transducing complex. Defects in this gene are a cause of early-onset epileptic encephalopathy. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
Uniprot Description
G-alpha(o): Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. The G(o) protein function is not clear. Stimulated by RGS14. Interacts with RGS14. G proteins are composed of 3 units; alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha chain contains the guanine nucleotide binding site. Belongs to the G-alpha family. G(i/o/t/z) subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: G protein, heterotrimeric alpha G((i/o/t/z)); G protein; G protein, heterotrimeric
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16q13
Cellular Component: neuron projection; plasma membrane; heterotrimeric G-protein complex
Molecular Function: corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor 1 binding; GTPase activity; signal transducer activity; GTP binding; mu-type opioid receptor binding; metal ion binding; G-protein beta/gamma-subunit binding; GTPase activating protein binding; metabotropic serotonin receptor binding

Product Notes
The GNAO1 gnao1 (Catalog #AAA6302910) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GNAO1, CT (GNAO1, Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(o) subunit alpha) (Biotin) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GNAO1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GNAO1 gnao1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GNAO1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
