Related Product Information for anti-GCYB1 antibody
Description: GUCY1B3 Belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase family. Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta chain. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Function: Mediates responses to nitric oxide (NO) by catalyzing the biosynthesis of the signaling molecule cGMP.
Subunit Structure: The active enzyme is formed by a heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. Heterodimer with GUCY1A1 (PubMed:1352257, PubMed:23505436, PubMed:24669844). Can also form inactive homodimers in vitro (PubMed:23505436, PubMed:24669844).
Similarity: Belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase family.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the beta subunit of the soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), which catalyzes the conversion of GTP (guanosine triphosphate) to cGMP (cyclic guanosine monophosphate). The encoded protein contains an HNOX domain, which serves as a receptor for ligands such as nitric oxide, oxygen and nitrovasodilator drugs. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]

Uniprot Description

Mediates responses to nitric oxide (NO) by catalyzing the biosynthesis of the signaling molecule cGMP.

Product Notes

The GCYB1 gucy1b1 (Catalog #AAA9600463) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GCYB1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GCYB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GCYB1 gucy1b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GCYB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
