Related Product Information for anti-FXR1 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is an RNA binding protein
that interacts with the functionally-similar proteins FMR1 and
FXR2. These proteins shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm and
associate with polyribosomes, predominantly with the 60S ribosomal
subunit. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have
been found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

FXR1: RNA-binding protein required for embryonic and postnatal development of muscle tissue. May regulate intracellular transport and local translation of certain mRNAs. Interacts with FMR1 and FXR2. Interacts with TDRD3, and with CYFIP2 but not with CYFIP1. Expressed in all tissues examined including heart, brain, kidney and testis. Belongs to the FMR1 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA-binding; Translation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q28

Cellular Component: polysome; costamere; membrane; cytoplasm; nucleolus

Molecular Function: mRNA binding; mRNA 3'-UTR binding; RNA binding

Biological Process: muscle development; apoptosis; negative regulation of translation; cell differentiation

Product Notes

The FXR1 fxr1 (Catalog #AAA9212982) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 37-66. The FXR1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Mouse (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Hamster, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FXR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FXR1 fxr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FXR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
