Related Product Information for anti-FOXH1 antibody
FoxH1 is a transcription factor that shares close homology with Xenopus FAST-1. FoxH1 binds to SMAD2/4 and activates activin response through a DNA binding motif region that consist of TGTATT sequence. FoxH1 binding to Smad2/Smad4/FAST1 forms a transcriptionally complex structure that can induced TGFbeta signal transduction.

NCBI Description

FOXH1 encodes a human homolog of Xenopus forkhead activin signal transducer-1. FOXH1 protein binds SMAD2 and activates an activin response element via binding the DNA motif TGT(G/T)(T/G)ATT. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FOXH1: Transcriptional activator. Recognizes and binds to the DNA sequence 5'-TGT[GT][GT]ATT-3'. Required for induction of the goosecoid (GSC) promoter by TGF-beta or activin signaling. Forms a transcriptionally active complex containing FOXH1/SMAD2/SMAD4 on a site on the GSC promoter called TARE (TGF-beta/activin response element).

Protein type: Nuclear receptor co-regulator; DNA-binding; Transcription factor

Product Notes

The FOXH1 foxh1 (Catalog #AAA5311528) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's FOXH1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 0.5-4 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOXH1 foxh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOXH1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
