Rabbit anti-Human FOLR1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-FOLR1 antibody
FOLR1, NT (FOLR1, FOLR, Folate receptor alpha, Adult folate-binding protein, Folate receptor 1, Folate receptor, adult, KB cells FBP, Ovarian tumor-associated antigen MOv18) (FITC)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis of Hela cell line lysates (35ug/lane) usingMBS6009693. This demonstrates MBS6009693 detected the FOLR1 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis of formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human kidney tissue using MBS6009693 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow Cytometric analysis of Hela cells (right histogram) using MBS6009693 compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the folate receptor family. Members of this gene family bind folic acid and its reduced derivatives, and transport 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells. This gene product is a secreted protein that either anchors to membranes via a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. Mutations in this gene have been associated with neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency. Due to the presence of two promoters, multiple transcription start sites, and alternative splicing, multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Uniprot Description
FOLR1: Binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate to the interior of cells. Defects in FOLR1 are the cause of neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency (NCFTD). NCFTD is an autosomal recessive disorder resulting from brain- specific folate deficiency early in life. Onset is apparent in late infancy with severe developmental regression, movement disturbances, epilepsy, and leukodystrophy. Recognition and diagnosis of this disorder is critical because folinic acid therapy can reverse the clinical symptoms and improve brain abnormalities and function. Belongs to the folate receptor family.

Product Notes
The FOLR1 folr1 (Catalog #AAA6299602) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FOLR1, NT (FOLR1, FOLR, Folate receptor alpha, Adult folate-binding protein, Folate receptor 1, Folate receptor, adult, KB cells FBP, Ovarian tumor-associated antigen MOv18) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FOLR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA. Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOLR1 folr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FOLR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
