Uniprot Description
FGF2: Plays an important role in the regulation of cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Functions as potent mitogen in vitro. Monomer. Homodimer. Interacts with FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Affinity between fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) and their receptors is increased by heparan sulfate glycosaminoglycans that function as coreceptors. Interacts with CSPG4, FGFBP1 and TEC. Found in a complex with FGFBP1, FGF1 and FGF2. Expressed in granulosa and cumulus cells. Expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma cells, but not in non- cancerous liver tissue. Belongs to the heparin-binding growth factors family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative initiation.

Product Notes
The FGF2 fgf2 (Catalog #AAA9415204) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Fibroblast growth factor 2 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Fibroblast growth factor 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western Blot: 1:500 - 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:20 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FGF2 fgf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibroblast growth factor 2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
