Related Product Information for anti-Elastin, alpha antibody
Elastin is a protein in connective tissue that is elastic and allows many tissues in the body to resume their shape after stretching or contracting. Elastin helps skin to return to its original position when it is poked or pinched. Elastin is also an important load-bearing tissue in the bodies of mammals and used in places where mechanical energy is required to be stored. Elastin is particularly abundant in large elastic blood vessels such as the aorta. It is also very important in the lungs, elastic ligaments, the skin, the bladder, and elastic cartilage.

Product Notes

The Elastin, alpha (Catalog #AAA622518) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Elastin, alpha reacts with Hamster, Human, Porcine, Rabbit and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Elastin, alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for ELISA. Not suitable for Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Elastin, alpha for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Elastin, alpha, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
