Related Product Information for anti-EIF3D antibody
Component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. The eIF-3 complex associates with the 40S ribosome and facilitates the recruitment of eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2:GTP:methionyl-tRNAi and eIF-5 to form the 43S preinitiation complex (43S PIC). The eIF-3 complex stimulates mRNA recruitment to the 43S PIC and scanning of the mRNA for AUG recognition. The eIF-3 complex is also required for disassembly and recycling of post-termination ribosomal complexes and subsequently prevents premature joining of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits prior to initiation. NCBI Description

Eukaryotic translation initiation factor-3 (eIF3), the largest of the eIFs, is a multiprotein complex composed of at least ten nonidentical subunits. The complex binds to the 40S ribosome and helps maintain the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits in a dissociated state. It is also thought to play a role in the formation of the 40S initiation complex by interacting with the ternary complex of eIF2/GTP/methionyl-tRNA, and by promoting mRNA binding. The protein encoded by this gene is the major RNA binding subunit of the eIF3 complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

eIF3-zeta: eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit 7. Binds to the 40S ribosome and promotes the binding of methionyl-tRNAi and mRNA. Associates with the subunit p170 of eIF-3. eIF-3 is composed of at least 12 different subunits.

Product Notes

The EIF3D eif3d (Catalog #AAA9410135) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EIF3D Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EIF3D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:500~1:3000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50~1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EIF3D eif3d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EIF3D, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
