Rabbit anti-Human DUT Polyclonal Antibody | anti-DUT antibody
DUT, CT (DUT, Deoxyuridine 5'-triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase, mitochondrial, dUTP pyrophosphatase) (AP)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(DUT Antibody (C-term) western blot analysis in human normal Uterus tissue lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the DUT antibody detected the DUT protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(DUT Antibody (C-term) (AP14203b)immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human colon tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of DUT Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an essential enzyme of nucleotide metabolism. The encoded protein forms a ubiquitous, homotetrameric enzyme that hydrolyzes dUTP to dUMP and pyrophosphate. This reaction serves two cellular purposes: providing a precursor (dUMP) for the synthesis of thymine nucleotides needed for DNA replication, and limiting intracellular pools of dUTP. Elevated levels of dUTP lead to increased incorporation of uracil into DNA, which induces extensive excision repair mediated by uracil glycosylase. This repair process, resulting in the removal and reincorporation of dUTP, is self-defeating and leads to DNA fragmentation and cell death. Alternative splicing of this gene leads to different isoforms that localize to either the mitochondrion or nucleus. A related pseudogene is located on chromosome 19. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
dUTPase: This enzyme is involved in nucleotide metabolism: it produces dUMP, the immediate precursor of thymidine nucleotides and it decreases the intracellular concentration of dUTP so that uracil cannot be incorporated into DNA. Belongs to the dUTPase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The DUT dut (Catalog #AAA6293851) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DUT, CT (DUT, Deoxyuridine 5'-triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase, mitochondrial, dUTP pyrophosphatase) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DUT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DUT dut for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DUT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
