Target Description: This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the S9B family in clan SC of the serine proteases. The protein has been shown to have post-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase activity, cleaving Xaa-Pro dipeptides from the N-termini of proteins. Although the activity of this protein is similar to that of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4), it does not appear to be membrane bound. In general, dipeptidyl peptidases appear to be involved in the regulation of the activity of their substrates and have been linked to a variety of diseases including type 2 diabetes, obesity and cancer. Several transcript variants of this gene have been described but not fully characterized.

Product Notes
The DPP9 dpp9 (Catalog #AAA3216297) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DPP9 antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Pig, Rat, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DPP9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DPP9 dpp9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: FVQKTDESGP HSHRLYYLGM PYGSRENSLL YSEIPKKVRK EALLLLSWKQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DPP9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
