Applicable Applications for anti-DP1 antibody
Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
Applications Validated:
WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution
Note: Many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt/Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western blot.
Immunogen
This DP1antibody was raised against a recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 301-410 of human DP1.
Preparation and Storage
Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles by aliquoting items into single-use fractions for storage at -20 degree C for up to 2 years. Keep all reagents on ice when not in storage.1ug/ul

Related Product Information for anti-DP1 antibody
Short Description: Our DP1 antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human samples.

Background: DP1 (DRTF1 polypeptide 1, TFDP1) is a transcriptional co-activator and an important regulator of cell cycle progression. It is a member of a protein family first identified through their binding to E2F DNA binding sites. DP1 forms heterodimers with E2F family members, activating transcription of E2F-responsive genes. DP1 is also absolutely required for extraembryonic development and embryonic survival.

Uniprot Description

TFDP1: Can stimulate E2F-dependent transcription. Binds DNA cooperatively with E2F family members through the E2 recognition site, 5'-TTTC[CG]CGC-3', found in the promoter region of a number of genes whose products are involved in cell cycle regulation or in DNA replication. The DP2/E2F complex functions in the control of cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. The E2F1/DP complex appears to mediate both cell proliferation and apoptosis. Belongs to the E2F/DP family.

Product Notes

The DP1 tfdp1 (Catalog #AAA388781) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DP1 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution Note: Many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt/Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DP1 tfdp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
