Related Product Information for anti-DNAJC5 antibody
This gene is a member of the J protein family. J proteins function in many cellular processes by regulating the ATPase activity of 70 kDa heat shock proteins. The encoded protein plays a role in membrane trafficking and protein folding, and has been shown to have anti-neurodegenerative properties. The encoded protein is known to play a role in cystic fibrosis and Huntington's disease. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 8.

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the J protein family. J proteins function in many cellular processes by regulating the ATPase activity of 70 kDa heat shock proteins. The encoded protein plays a role in membrane trafficking and protein folding, and has been shown to have anti-neurodegenerative properties. The encoded protein is known to play a role in cystic fibrosis and Huntington's disease. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 8. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

DNAJC5: a cysteine string protein that inhibits N-type calcium channels which is blocked by huntingtin mutants. May have an important role in presynaptic function. May be involved in calcium-dependent neurotransmitter release at nerve endings. Modulates the maturation of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The DNAJC5 dnajc5 (Catalog #AAA6012023) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DNAJC5, ID (DNAJC5, CSP, DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 5, Cysteine string protein) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DNAJC5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNAJC5 dnajc5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNAJC5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
