Related Product Information for anti-DNAJC24 antibody
Diphthamide is a unique posttranslationally modified histidine found only in translation elongation factor-2 (EEF2; MIM 130610). This modification is conserved from archaebacteria to humans and serves as the target for ADP-ribosylation and inactivation of EEF2 by diphtheria toxin (DT) and Pseudomonas exotoxin A. DPH4 is 1 of several enzymes involved in synthesis of diphthamide in EEF2 (Liu et al., 2004 [PubMed 15485916]).[supplied by OMIM].

NCBI Description

Diphthamide is a unique posttranslationally modified histidine found only in translation elongation factor-2 (EEF2; MIM 130610). This modification is conserved from archaebacteria to humans and serves as the target for ADP-ribosylation and inactivation of EEF2 by diphtheria toxin (DT) and Pseudomonas exotoxin A. Uniprot Description

Function: Stimulates the ATPase activity of several Hsp70-type chaperones. This ability is enhanced by iron-binding. The iron-bound form is redox-active and can function as electron carrier. Plays a role in the diphthamide biosynthesis, a post-translational modification of histidine which occurs in translation elongation factor 2 (EEF2) which can be ADP-ribosylated by diphtheria toxin and by Pseudomonas exotoxin A (Eta). Ref.5 Ref.6

Pathway: Protein modification; peptidyl-diphthamide biosynthesis.

Subunit structure: Monomer and homooligomer. Iron binding promotes oligomerization. Ref.6

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm › cytoskeleton

By similarity.

Domain: The DPH-type zinc finger can also bind iron ions instead of the expected zinc ions (Ref.6).

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the DPH4 family.Contains 1 DPH-type zinc finger.Contains 1 J domain.

Sequence caution: The sequence EAW68245.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally shortened.

Product Notes

The DNAJC24 dnajc24 (Catalog #AAA647398) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DNAJC24, ID (DNAJC24, DPH4, ZCSL3, DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 24, CSL-type zinc finger-containing protein 3, DPH4 homolog) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DNAJC24 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DNAJC24 dnajc24 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNAJC24, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
