Polyclonal
Specificity
DENTT [This rabbit antibody recognizes human DENTT (Differentially Expressed Nucleolar TGF-b1 Target) protein.]
This antibody recognizes human DENTT (Differentially Expressed Nucleolar TGF- beta 1 Target) protein, a gene product expressed in several normal tissues with the highest level of expression in brain. DENTT is involved in responses mediated by TGF- beta 1 and has distinct domains for direction to different subnuclear locations.

100 ug affinity-purified antibody in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.4.
Applicable Applications for anti-TSPYL2 antibody
Immunoblot
Application Notes
Immunoblotting: use at 1:500-1:1,000 dilution. In immunoblots, a band of approximately 77 kD is detected.
Antigen
Human DENTT protein.
Stabilizer
None
Preservatives
0.02% sodium azide
Dilutions Instructions
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the testis-specific protein Y-encoded, TSPY-like/SET/nucleosome assembly protein-1 superfamily. The encoded protein is localized to the nucleolus where it functions in chromatin remodeling and as an inhibitor of cell-cycle progression. This protein may play a role in the suppression of tumor growth. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

TSPYL2: Part of the CASK/TRB1/TSPYL2 transcriptional complex which modulates gene expression in response to neuronal synaptic activity, probably by facilitating nucleosome assembly. May inhibit cell proliferation by inducing p53-dependent CDKN1A expression. Belongs to the nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) family.

Protein type: Transcription regulation; DNA replication

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp11.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; centrosome; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleolus; nucleus

Molecular Function: rDNA binding

Biological Process: transcription, DNA-dependent; unfolded protein response; regulation of signal transduction; chromatin modification; cell cycle; negative regulation of cell cycle; nucleosome assembly; unfolded protein response, activation of signaling protein activity; cellular protein metabolic process; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of DNA replication; negative regulation of cell growth; regulation of protein kinase activity

Product Notes

The TSPYL2 (Catalog #AAA194219) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's DENTT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot. Immunoblotting: use at 1:500-1:1,000 dilution. In immunoblots, a band of approximately 77 kD is detected. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TSPYL2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DENTT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
