Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human DDX28.
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Similarity
Belongs to the DEAD box helicase family.
Subunit Structure
Monomer. Found in a complex with GRSF1, DHX30, FASTKD2 and FASTKD5. Associates with the 16S mitochondrial rRNA (16S mt-rRNA) and with the mitochondrial ribosome large subunit (39S).
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in all tissues tested, including brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, leukocytes, colon, small intestine, ovary and prostate.
Function
Plays an essential role in facilitating the proper assembly of the mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit and its helicase activity is essential for this function. May be involved in RNA processing or transport. Has RNA and Mg(2+)-dependent ATPase activity.
Note
Transported between these two compartments. Nuclear localization depends on active RNA polymerase II transcription. Localizes to mitochondrial RNA granules found in close proximity to the mitochondrial nucleoids.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.

Product Notes

The DDX28 ddx28 (Catalog #AAA9631006) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DDX28 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DDX28 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA)(peptide). ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDX28 ddx28 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDX28, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
