NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. This protein has been shown to possess PPIase activity and, similar to other family members, can bind to the immunosuppressant cyclosporin A. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PPID: PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Belongs to the cyclophilin-type PPIase family. PPIase D subfamily.

Product Notes

The CYPD ppid (Catalog #AAA6471270) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CYPD, NT (Cyclophilin-related Protein, Cyclophilin-40, CYP-40, 40kD Peptidyl-prolyl Cis-trans Isomerase, Rotamase D, Peptidyl-prolyl Cis-trans Isomerase D, PPIase D, CYP40, PPID) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CYPD can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYPD ppid for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYPD, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
