Rabbit anti-Human CYP3A5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CYP3A5 antibody
CYP3A5, ID (Cytochrome P450 3A5, CYPIIIA5, Cytochrome P450-PCN3, Cytochrome P450 HLp2) (MaxLight 550)
FLISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of CYP3A5 Antibody (Center) in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CYP3A5 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma reacted with GPD1 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(CYP3A5 Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of 293 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The encoded protein metabolizes drugs as well as the steroid hormones testosterone and progesterone. This gene is part of a cluster of cytochrome P450 genes on chromosome 7q21.1. Two pseudogenes of this gene have been identified within this cluster on chromosome 7. Expression of this gene is widely variable among populations, and a single nucleotide polymorphism that affects transcript splicing has been associated with susceptibility to hypertensions. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]
Uniprot Description
Function: Cytochromes P450 are a group of heme-thiolate monooxygenases. In liver microsomes, this enzyme is involved in an NADPH-dependent electron transport pathway. It oxidizes a variety of structurally unrelated compounds, including steroids, fatty acids, and xenobiotics.
Catalytic activity: RH + reduced flavoprotein + O2 = ROH + oxidized flavoprotein + H2O.
Cofactor: Heme group
By similarity.
Subcellular location: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Microsome membrane; Peripheral membrane protein.
Induction: P450 can be induced to high levels in liver and other tissues by various foreign compounds, including drugs, pesticides, and carcinogens.
Miscellaneous: Chimeric transcripts, characterized by CYP3A43 exon 1 joined at canonical splice sites to distinct sets of CYP3A5 exons, have been detected. All are possibly produced by trans-splicing. The chimeric transcripts exist in 2 different combinations: CYP3A43 exon 1 joined in frame to CYP3A5 exon 11-13 and CYP3A43 exon 1 joined in frame to CYP3A5 exon 12-13. All chimeric transcripts are expressed at very low levels in the liver (Ref.11).
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the cytochrome P450 family.

The CYP3A5, ID (Cytochrome P450 3A5, CYPIIIA5, Cytochrome P450-PCN3, Cytochrome P450 HLp2) (MaxLight 550) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CYP3A5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYP3A5 cyp3a5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYP3A5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
