Related Product Information for anti-CYP1A1 antibody
This gene, CYP1A1, encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and its expression is induced by some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), some of which are found in cigarette smoke. The enzyme's endogenous substrate is unknown; however, it is able to metabolize some PAHs to carcinogenic intermediates. The gene has been associated with lung cancer risk. A related family member, CYP1A2, is located approximately 25 kb away from CYP1A1 on chromosome 15.

Uniprot Description

CYP1A1: Cytochromes P450 are a group of heme-thiolate monooxygenases. In liver microsomes, this enzyme is involved in an NADPH-dependent electron transport pathway. It oxidizes a variety of structurally unrelated compounds, including steroids, fatty acids, and xenobiotics. Belongs to the cytochrome P450 family.

Product Notes

The CYP1A1 cyp1a1 (Catalog #AAA9405793) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CYP1A1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CYP1A1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:1000-1:5000 Western blotting: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYP1A1 cyp1a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYP1A1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
