Related Product Information for anti-CTDSP2 antibody
CTDSP2 is one of several small CTD phosphatases (SCP). It has been proposed that SCP activity is an evolutionarily conserved transcriptional regulator that acts globally to silence neuronal genes. In addition, expression of phosphatase CTDSP2 mRNA isenhanced in several cancer cell lines with amplification of the CTDSP2 and CDK4 genes, and CTDSP2 coamplifies with CDK4 in some primary sarcomas. CTDSP2 may contribute to the development of a subset of sarcomas.

Uniprot Description

CTDSP2: Preferentially catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 'Ser- 5' within the tandem 7 residues repeats in the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A. Negatively regulates RNA polymerase II transcription, possibly by controlling the transition from initiation/capping to processive transcript elongation. Recruited by REST to neuronal genes that contain RE-1 elements, leading to neuronal gene silencing in non-neuronal cells. May contribute to the development of sarcomas.

Product Notes

The CTDSP2 ctdsp2 (Catalog #AAA631069) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CTDSP2, NT (Small CTD Phosphatase 2, Carboxy-terminal Domain RNA Polymerase II Polypeptide A Small Phosphatase 2, Small C-terminal Domain Phosphatase 2, SCP2, Nuclear LIM Interactor-interacting Factor 2, NLI-interacting Factor 2, Protein OS-4, NIF2, OS4, reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CTDSP2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:250 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTDSP2 ctdsp2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CTDSP2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
