Related Product Information for anti-CORO1C antibody
Coronin 3 is a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40aa typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD). These may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. By similarity, Coronin 3 may be involved in cytokinesis, motility, and signal transduction. Coronin 3 is ubiquitously expressed in all human tissues, in contrast to other known coronin-like molecules, each of which is expressed in a tissue-specific manner.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2013]

Uniprot Description

Function: May be involved in cytokinesis, motility, and signal transduction

By similarity. Ref.2Isoform 3: Involved in myogenic differentiation. Ref.2

Subunit structure: Binds F-actin. Isoform 1 and isoform 2 appear as homotrimers, while isoform 3 seems to exist as monomers. Ref.2 Ref.8

Subcellular location: Cell membrane. Cell projection › lamellipodium. Cytoplasm › cytoskeleton. Note: All isoforms localize in a diffuse and punctate pattern in the cytosol and are highly enriched in F-actin-rich areas. Isoform 3 colocalizes with the thin filaments of the sarcomere and with the postsynaptic area and the junctional sarcoplasm of motor end plates. Ref.8

Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous.

Domain: The C-terminal coiled-coil domain is essential for cortical membrane localization and oligomerization.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the WD repeat coronin family.Contains 5 WD repeats.

Sequence caution: The sequence CAB82406.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation.

Product Notes

The CORO1C coro1c (Catalog #AAA647017) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CORO1C (Coronin 3, Coronin-1C, Coronin-3, hCRNN4, CRNN4) reacts with Bovine, Human, Porcine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CORO1C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:64,000 Western Blot: 0.2-1ug/ml, observed in human lung and placenta lysates on ~55kD bands. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CORO1C coro1c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CORO1C, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
