Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4°C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20°C for 12 months.

Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37oC for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Note: As fluorescence can photobleach when exposed to light, so the antibody must be protected from light.

NCBI Description

C3a is an anaphylatoxin released during activation of the complement system. The protein encoded by this gene is an orphan G protein-coupled receptor for C3a. Binding of C3a by the encoded receptor activates chemotaxis, granule enzyme release, superoxide anion production, and bacterial opsonization. [provided by RefSeq, May 2016]

Uniprot Description

C3aR: Receptor for the chemotactic and inflammatory peptide anaphylatoxin C3a. This receptor stimulates chemotaxis, granule enzyme release and superoxide anion production. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.31

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity

Biological Process: blood circulation; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating); inflammatory response; leukocyte migration; regulation of complement activation

Product Notes

The C3a c3ar1 (Catalog #AAA2041737) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FITC-Linked Polyclonal Antibody to Complement Component 3a (C3a) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Complement Component 3a (C3a) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB; IHC; ICC; IF. Western blotting: 0.5-2 ug/mL;1:160-650
Immunohistochemistry: 5-20 ug/mL;1:16-65
Immunocytochemistry: 5-20 ug /mL;1:16-65

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C3a c3ar1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Complement Component 3a (C3a), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
