COLLAGEN I
This item is specific for both native and heat denatured rat Collagen type I.

Collagen is located in the extracellular matrix of connective tissues. It is part of the interacting network of proteoglycans and proteins that provides a structural framework for both soft and calcified connective tissues. Type I collagen (95 kDa) is found in bone, cornea, skin and tendon. Mutations in the encoding gene are associated with osteogenesis imperfecta, Ehlers Danlos syndrome, and idiopathic osteoporosis.

Product Notes

The Col1a2 col1a2 (Catalog #AAA220764) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI RAT COLLAGEN I reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COLLAGEN I can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology - Frozen (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistology - Paraffin (IHC). Immunohistology - Frozen: Min Dilution: 1/10 Max Dilution: 1/60 Immunofluorescence: Min Dilution: 1/10 Max Dilution: 1/60 ELISA: Min Dilution: 1/1500 Max Dilution: 1/6000 Immunohistology: It has been reported that this antibody is suitable for use on paraffin embedded formalin fixed sections following treatment with 1 mg/ml pepsin in 0.5 M acetic acid for 2 hours at 37 degree C and multiple buffer washes. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Col1a2 col1a2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COLLAGEN I, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
