Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Overlay histogram showing Hela cells stained with AP22329c(green line). The cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde (10 min) and then permeabilized with 90% methanol for 10 min. The cells were then icubated in 2% bovine serum albumin to block non-specific protein-protein interactions followed by the antibody (AP22329c, 1:25 dilution) for 60 min at 37 degree C. The secondary antibody used was Goat-Anti-Rabbit IgG, DyLight 488 Conjugated Highly Cross-Adsorbed(OE188374) at 1/200 dilution for 40 min at 37 degree C. Isotype control antibody (blue line) was rabbit IgG1 (1mug/1x10^6 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10, 000 events was performed.)

Related Product Information for anti-COL14A1 antibody
Plays an adhesive role by integrating collagen bundles. It is probably associated with the surface of interstitial collagen fibrils via COL1. The COL2 domain may then serve as a rigid arm which sticks out from the fibril and protrudes the large N-terminal globular domain into the extracellular space, where it might interact with other matrix molecules or cell surface receptors (By similarity).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the alpha chain of type XIV collagen, a member of the FACIT (fibril-associated collagens with interrupted triple helices) collagen family. Type XIV collagen interacts with the fibril surface and is involved in the regulation of fibrillogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2013]

Uniprot Description

Plays an adhesive role by integrating collagen bundles. It is probably associated with the surface of interstitial collagen fibrils via COL1. The COL2 domain may then serve as a rigid arm which sticks out from the fibril and protrudes the large N-terminal globular domain into the extracellular space, where it might interact with other matrix molecules or cell surface receptors ().

Product Notes

The COL14A1 col14a1 (Catalog #AAA9231274) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The COL14A1 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COL14A1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). IHC-P: 1:25 FC: 1:25 WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COL14A1 col14a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COL14A1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
