NCBI Description

This gene encodes a chymotryptic serine proteinase that belongs to the peptidase family S1. It is expressed in mast cells and is thought to function in the degradation of the extracellular matrix, the regulation of submucosal gland secretion, and the generation of vasoactive peptides. In the heart and blood vessels, this protein, rather than angiotensin converting enzyme, is largely responsible for converting angiotensin I to the vasoactive peptide angiotensin II. Alternative splicing results in multiple variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2015]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The CMA1 cma1 (Catalog #AAA9216404) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CMA1 Antibody (N-Term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CMA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB ~~ 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CMA1 cma1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CMA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
