Related Product Information for anti-CLEC1B antibody
Acts as a receptor for the platelet-aggregating snake venom protein rhodocytin. Rhodocytin binding leads to tyrosine phosphorylation and this promotes the binding of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk) and initiation of downstream tyrosine phosphorylation events and activation of PLC-gamma-2. Acts as an attachment factor for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and facilitates its capture by platelets.

NCBI Description

Natural killer (NK) cells express multiple calcium-dependent (C-type) lectin-like receptors, such as CD94 (KLRD1; MIM 602894) and NKG2D (KLRC4; MIM 602893), that interact with major histocompatibility complex class I molecules and either inhibit or activate cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion. CLEC2 is a C-type lectin-like receptor expressed in myeloid cells and NK cells (Colonna et al., 2000 [PubMed 10671229]).[supplied by OMIM, Jan 2011]

Uniprot Description

Function: Acts as a receptor for the platelet-aggregating snake venom protein rhodocytin. Ref.2 Ref.6

Subunit structure: Homodimer. Interacts (via cytoplasmic domain) with GNB2L1/RACK1; promotes CLEC1B ubiquitination and proteasome-mediated degradation. Interacts (dimer) with SYK (via SH2 domains). Ref.7 Ref.8 Ref.9 Ref.10

Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein

Probable.

Tissue specificity: Expressed preferentially in the liver. Also expressed in immune cells of myeloid origin and on the surface of platelets. Ref.1 Ref.2 Ref.6

Post-translational modification: Glycosylated. Ref.6Phosphorylated on tyrosine residue in response to rhodocytin binding. Ref.6

Sequence similarities: Contains 1 C-type lectin domain.

Product Notes

The CLEC1B clec1b (Catalog #AAA646846) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CLEC1B (C-type Lectin Domain Family 1 Member B, C-type Lectin-like Receptor 2, CLEC-2, CLEC2, UNQ721/PRO1384) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CLEC1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, observed in human bone marrow and kidney lysates on ~28kD bands. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLEC1B clec1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CLEC1B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
