Rabbit anti-Rat, Mouse CDH8 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CDH8 antibody
CDH8 Polyclonal Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Observed MW: 88kD
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the cadherin family of calcium-dependent glycoproteins that mediate cell adhesion and regulate many morphogenetic events during development. The encoded preproprotein is further processed to generate a mature protein. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit reduced behavioral responses to cold, but not thermal stimuli. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms that may undergo similar proteolytic processing. Multiple distinct genes of the cadherin family, including this gene, are found on chromosome 8. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2015]
Uniprot Description
CDH8: Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.
Protein type: Cell adhesion; Membrane protein, integral
Cellular Component: nerve terminal
Biological Process: response to cold; synaptic transmission; synaptic transmission, glutamatergic

Product Notes
The CDH8 cdh8 (Catalog #AAA2541781) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CDH8 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Rat, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CDH8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDH8 cdh8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDH8, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
