Rabbit anti-Human CD66/CEACAM1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CD66/CEACAM1 antibody
Phospho-CD66/CEACAM1 (Ser508) Antibody
Tissue Specificity: Expressed in columnar epithelial cells of the colon (at protein level). The predominant forms expressed by T cells are those containing a long cytoplasmic domain. Expressed in granulocytes and lymphocytes. Leukocytes only express isoforms 6 and isoform 1.
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Peptide ELISA: 1:20,000-1:40,000
Note: Canalicular domain of hepatocyte plasma membranes. Found as a mixture of monomer, dimer and oligomer in the plasma membrane. Occurs predominantly as cis-dimers and/or small cis-oligomers in the cell junction regions. Found as dimer in the solution. Predominantly localized to the lateral cell membranes. Secreted. Secreted. Note: Predominantly localized to the lateral cell membranes. Found as a mixture of monomer, dimer and oligomer in the plasma membrane. Occurs predominantly as cis-dimers and/or small cis-oligomers in the cell junction regions (By similarity). Co-localizes with ANXA2 in secretory vesicles and with S100A10/p11 at the plasma membrane (PubMed:14522961).Cell projection>Microvillus membrane>Single-pass type I membrane protein. Note: Localized to the apical glycocalyx surface (PubMed:10436421). Colocalizes with CEACAM20 at the apical brush border of intestinal cells.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of CD66 (Phospho-Ser508) using Calc LOVO whole cell lysates.-/+ means absence or presence of N peptide(non-phospho peptide) and P peptide(phospho peptide).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Staining Human colorectal cancer by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the primary antibody at 4 degree C overnight. An HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(At 1/100 staining Human colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissues by IHC-P.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Two subgroups of the CEA family, the CEA cell adhesion molecules and the pregnancy-specific glycoproteins, are located within a 1.2 Mb cluster on the long arm of chromosome 19. Eleven pseudogenes of the CEA cell adhesion molecule subgroup are also found in the cluster. The encoded protein was originally described in bile ducts of liver as biliary glycoprotein. Subsequently, it was found to be a cell-cell adhesion molecule detected on leukocytes, epithelia, and endothelia. The encoded protein mediates cell adhesion via homophilic as well as heterophilic binding to other proteins of the subgroup. Multiple cellular activities have been attributed to the encoded protein, including roles in the differentiation and arrangement of tissue three-dimensional structure, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and the modulation of innate and adaptive immune responses. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been reported, but the full-length nature of all variants has not been defined. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Uniprot Description
CEACAM1: carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1. A cell-cell adhesion molecule that directly associates with annexin II. Has tumor suppressor activity in prostate carcinoma. Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and the CEA family. Abundantly expressed in epithelia, vessel endothelia, trophoblasts, platelets and neutrophilic granulocytes. Also present in many cell types of the immune system such as B cells, T cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. Five alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Two isoforms are type I membrane proteins, while three are secreted.

The Phospho-CD66/CEACAM1 (Ser508) Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD66/CEACAM1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Peptide ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000-3000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 Peptide ELISA: 1:20,000-1:40,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD66/CEACAM1 ceacam1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD66/CEACAM1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
