NCBI Description

The product of this gene transfers fucose to N-acetyllactosamine polysaccharides to generate fucosylated carbohydrate structures. It catalyzes the synthesis of the non-sialylated antigen, Lewis x (CD15). [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]

Uniprot Description

May catalyze alpha-1,3 glycosidic linkages involved in the expression of Lewis X/SSEA-1 and VIM-2 antigens.

Product Notes

The FUT4 fut4 (Catalog #AAA4380927) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD15/FUT4 (Reed-Sternberg Cell Marker) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD15/FUT4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. FC/FACS: 2-4ug/million cells IF: 2-4ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (5-10ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FUT4 fut4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD15/FUT4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
