Related Product Information for anti-CD109 antibody
Function: Modulates negatively TGFB1 signaling in keratinocytes.
Subunit Structure: Heterodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with TGFB1 and TGFBR1. Forms a heteromeric complex with TGFBR1, TGFBR2 and TGFBR3 in a ligand-independent manner.
Post-translational Modifications: N-glycosylated. 2 forms of 150 (p150) and 120 kDa (p120) exist due to proteolytic degradation from a 180 kDa form.
Similarity: Belongs to the protease inhibitor I39 (alpha-2-macroglobulin) family.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked glycoprotein that localizes to the surface of platelets, activated T-cells, and endothelial cells. The protein binds to and negatively regulates signalling by transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]

Uniprot Description

Modulates negatively TGFB1 signaling in keratinocytes.

Product Notes

The CD109 cd109 (Catalog #AAA9603824) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD109 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD109 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD109 cd109 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD109, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
