Rabbit CCT4 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CCT4 antibody
CCT4 Antibody (N-term)
Western Blot (WB)
(CCT4 Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in Jurkat cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the CCT4 antibody detected the CCT4 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(CCT4 Antibody (N-term) (MBS9211938)immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human liver tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of CCT4 Antibody (N-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
also called the TCP1 ring complex, consists of 2 back-to-back
rings, each containing 8 unique but homologous subunits, such as
CCT4. CCT assists the folding of newly translated polypeptide
substrates through multiple rounds of ATP-driven release and
rebinding of partially folded intermediate forms. Substrates of CCT
include the cytoskeletal proteins actin (see MIM 102560) and
tubulin (see MIM 191130), as well as alpha-transducin (MIM 139330)

NCBI Description
The chaperonin containing TCP1 (MIM 186980) complex (CCT), also called the TCP1 ring complex, consists of 2 back-to-back rings, each containing 8 unique but homologous subunits, such as CCT4. CCT assists the folding of newly translated polypeptide substrates through multiple rounds of ATP-driven release and rebinding of partially folded intermediate forms. Substrates of CCT include the cytoskeletal proteins actin (see MIM 102560) and tubulin (see MIM 191130), as well as alpha-transducin (MIM 139330) (Won et al., 1998 [PubMed 9819444]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
CCT-delta: Molecular chaperone; assists the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. As part of the BBS/CCT complex may play a role in the assembly of BBSome, a complex involved in ciliogenesis regulating transports vesicles to the cilia. Known to play a role, in vitro, in the folding of actin and tubulin. Belongs to the TCP-1 chaperonin family.
Protein type: Chaperone
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p15
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; chaperonin-containing T-complex; centrosome; microtubule; cytoplasm; melanosome; cytosol
Molecular Function: protein binding; unfolded protein binding; ATP binding
Biological Process: 'de novo' posttranslational protein folding; cellular protein metabolic process; protein folding; binding of sperm to zona pellucida

Product Notes
The CCT4 cct4 (Catalog #AAA9211938) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 4-32. The CCT4 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCT4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCT4 cct4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCT4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
