Related Product Information for anti-CCR3 antibody
CCR3 is a receptor for C-C type chemokines. It belongs to family 1 of the G protein -coupled receptors. This receptor binds and responds to avariety of chemokines, including eotaxin (CCL11), eotaxin-3 (CCL26), MCP-3 (CCL7), MCP-4 (CCL13), and RANTES (CCL5). It is highly expressed in eosinophils and basophils, and is also detected in TH1 and TH2 cells, as well as in airway epithelial cells.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for C-C type chemokines. It belongs to family 1 of the G protein-coupled receptors. This receptor binds and responds to a variety of chemokines, including eotaxin (CCL11), eotaxin-3 (CCL26), MCP-3 (CCL7), MCP-4 (CCL13), and RANTES (CCL5). It is highly expressed in eosinophils and basophils, and is also detected in TH1 and TH2 cells, as well as in airway epithelial cells. This receptor may contribute to the accumulation and activation of eosinophils and other inflammatory cells in the allergic airway. It is also known to be an entry co-receptor for HIV-1. This gene and seven other chemokine receptor genes form a chemokine receptor gene cluster on the chromosomal region 3p21. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for a C-C type chemokine. Binds to eotaxin, eotaxin-3, MCP-3, MCP-4, RANTES and MIP-1 delta. Subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Alternative coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection.MiscellaneousOverexpression of CCR3 together with its ligands appears to be a characteristic of ulcerative colitis (UC). The production of CCR3 ligands by human colonic epithelial cells suggests further that the epithelium can play a role in modulating pathological T-cell-mediated mucosal inflammation (PubMed:21077277).

Product Notes

The CCR3 ccr3 (Catalog #AAA2400589) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CCR3 Antibody (N-Terminus) reacts with Human Predicted: Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCR3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-P: 5 ug/ml WB: 1-2 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCR3 ccr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCR3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
