Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Related Product Information for anti-CCDC99 antibody
CCDC99 is required for the localization of dynein and dynactin to the mitotic kintochore. Dynein is believed to control the initial lateral interaction between the kinetochore and spindle microtubules and to facilitate the subsequent formation of end-on kinetochore-microtubule attachments mediated by the NDC80 complex. Also required for correct spindle orientation. Does not appear to be required for the removal of spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC) proteins from the kinetochore upon bipolar spindle attachment.

Uniprot Description

CCDC99: Required for the localization of dynein and dynactin to the mitotic kintochore. Belongs to the Spindly family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Unknown function

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q35.1

Cellular Component: spindle pole; microtubule organizing center; outer kinetochore of condensed chromosome; cytosol; nucleus

Molecular Function: kinetochore binding; protein binding; enzyme binding

Biological Process: establishment of mitotic spindle orientation; spindle checkpoint; cell division; mitotic cell cycle; mitotic metaphase plate congression

Product Notes

The CCDC99 spdl1 (Catalog #AAA6281974) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CCDC99, CT (CCDC99, Protein Spindly, Arsenite-related gene 1 protein, Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 99, Rhabdomyosarcoma antigen MU-RMS-40.4A) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCDC99 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCDC99 spdl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCDC99, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
