Related Product Information for anti-CBY1 antibody
Description: Inhibits the Wnt/Wingless pathway by binding to CTNNB1/beta-catenin and inhibiting beta-catenin-mediated transcriptional activation through competition with TCF/LEF transcription factors. Has also been shown to play a role in regulating the intracellular trafficking of polycystin-2/PKD2 and possibly of other intracellular proteins. Promotes adipocyte and cardiomyocyte differentiation.

Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Interacts with polycystin-2/PKD2 and GM130. Interacts with the C-terminal region of CTNNB1 (PubMed:12712206, PubMed:16424001). Interacts (C-terminus) with TCIM (C-terminus), TCIM competes with CTNNB1 for the interaction with CBY1 (PubMed:16424001). Interacts with FAM92A; this interaction facilites targeting of FAM92A to cilium basal body (PubMed:27528616).

Similarity: Belongs to the chibby family.

NCBI Description

Beta-catenin is a transcriptional activator and oncoprotein involved in the development of several cancers. The protein encoded by this gene interacts directly with the C-terminal region of beta-catenin, inhibiting oncogenic beta-catenin-mediated transcriptional activation by competing with transcription factors for binding to beta-catenin. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The CBY1 cby1 (Catalog #AAA9611633) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CBY1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat Predicted: Pig, Zebrafish, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken, Xenopus and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CBY1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CBY1 cby1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CBY1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
