Uniprot Description

CAPZA1: F-actin-capping proteins bind in a Ca(2+)-independent manner to the fast growing ends of actin filaments (barbed end) thereby blocking the exchange of subunits at these ends. Unlike other capping proteins (such as gelsolin and severin), these proteins do not sever actin filaments. Belongs to the F-actin-capping protein alpha subunit family.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p13.2

Cellular Component: F-actin capping protein complex; cytoskeleton; extracellular region; cytosol; actin cytoskeleton

Molecular Function: protein binding; actin binding

Biological Process: innate immune response; protein complex assembly; cell motility; blood coagulation; barbed-end actin filament capping

Product Notes

The CAPZA1 capza1 (Catalog #AAA6461213) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CAPZA1, NT (F-actin-capping Protein Subunit alpha-1, CapZ alpha-1) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CAPZA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:50-1:100 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CAPZA1 capza1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CAPZA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
